    Ingredients

All of the ingredients for these biscuits are easily found at your local grocery store. You likely have most of them in your refrigerator and pantry already! Measurements for each of the ingredients are included in the recipe card, below.

    • Unsalted Butter - The base of your strawberry butter! I use unsalted butter so that I can control the amount of salt in the recipe. You want your butter to be softened.
    • Salt - To balance and enhance the flavors of the strawberry butter.
    • Honey - For moisture, sweetness, and a slight floral flavor.
    • Strawberries - For lovely flavor and a beautiful pink color!

    Instructions

Here's how to make this recipe, step by step! More detailed instructions are included in the recipe card, below.

    Making Strawberry Butter.
    1. Mix the softened butter and salt until light and fluffy, at least three minutes.
    2. Then add honey and chopped strawberries and mix until combined.

    Substitutions

If you don't have honey on-hand or prefer not to use it, you can substitute with 2 Tablespoons powdered sugar. You could also use granulated sugar, but your butter might turn out a bit gritty.

    Variations

There are several delicious variations that can be made to this recipe:

    • Citrus Strawberry Butter- Add lemon or orange zest to the butter for a zing of citrus with your strawberries!
    • Herbed Strawberry Butter- For a sweet-and-savory taste of summer, add some finely chopped fresh thyme or basil to the butter!

    How to Use Strawberry Butter

Now that you've got this gorgeous strawberry butter, how do you use it? Here are a few of my favorite things to use Strawberry Butter on:

    • Waffles
    • Pancakes
    • Biscuits (Try it with my Strawberry Biscuits or Lavender Biscuits!)
    • Toast
    • Quick breads (Fantastic on banana bread and lemon bread!)

    Storage

The strawberry butter can be left out on your counter for a day, or placed in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Bring the butter back to room temperature before serving.

For longer storage, the butter will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three months. Thaw in the refrigerator, then bring to room temperature before using.
