It’s FALL! But wait, there’s more! πŸ˜€ Not only is it Fall, it’s Fall and I’m back in the Midwest! When we were living in Texas, we missed FOUR YEARS of Fall. No crisp weather. No color change. No kids jumping in leaves. No apple orchards!! There were a lot of things that I missed about Michigan while we were gone, but I think Fall tops the list. It’s my favorite season, and I am downright giddy watching the trees start to change. So, break out the fall recipes! To start: these scrumptious Caramel Apple Cookies!

    Apple Cider Cranberry Cupcakes

I have a new appreciation for cranberries in my old age as an adult. As a kid I always enjoyed the jellied cranberry sauce, and was somehow never weirded out that it was still shaped like the can. Now, however, I see so many more uses for cranberries than just for cranberry sauce. Take these Apple Cider Cranberry Cupcakes, for instance.

    Salted Caramel Apple Pie

Apple pie is my husband’s favorite pie. Maaaaybe even his favorite dessert. He considers apple pie to be the ONLY pie one could ever want. When I made my Cinnamon Roll Apple Pie, a veritable GENIUS recipe, he scoffed and said that he preferred regular ol’ apple pie. Well, peeps, I think this Salted Caramel Apple Pie has made him a believer.

    Apple Cider Doughnuts

I really *try* not to be negative about the Fall here in Texas. Er…the lack of Fall, that is. I once took an image that listed all the things to celebrate about fall. I crossed out “chilly evenings” and “bonfires.” I crossed out “hoodies” and “boots.” I crossed out “apple orchards” and “crunching leaves.” All that I was left with was pumpkins. Yup. Tank tops, flip flops, and pumpkins. *Groan* To help ease my pain, I made myself some ciderhouse-worthy doughnuts. Apple Cider Doughnuts, to be specific. πŸ™‚

    Apple and Maple Custard Tart

It is rainy and chilly in Texas, and I’m a little in love with it. Sweater: check. Cozy socks: check. Warm mug of coffee: check, check.Β  πŸ˜€ I like sunshine as much as the next person, but this cloudy, wet, cold weather does good things for my soul in the Fall.Β Super smooth segue: This Apple Maple Custard Tart is also soul satisfying. πŸ˜‰

    Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls

The Fallstravaganza continues! Hey, I made a few recipes that weren’t pumpkin or apple… Recently I gushed about how much I love Fall and complained how Texas does NOT have Fall in my post for my Cinnamon Roll Apple Pie. Fall and comfort food go hand in hand, but when you’re homesick it’s just a necessity. As such, it was *necessary* for me to make the reciprocal baked good: Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls with Cinnamon Browned Butter Glaze.
